Purpose:
The Manager, Operations and Assets leads the shop’s operational execution and asset management within a multi-site network. Assigned to one warehouse, this role manages a local team and coordinates with Site Managers at the other two locations to standardize practices, optimize cross-site asset availability, and ensure accurate scanning, tracking, movement, and timely returns of assets across all jobs. Salary range is $80,000 - $98,000 per year DOE.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the local operations and asset team at Camarillo. Set objectives, coach performance, conduct regular reviews, and build succession plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute division-wide and inter-site moves. Develop schedules, synchronize with project managers and ensure on-time transfers and proper sequencing of asset movements between sites.
- Budget and cost controls. Forecast needs, optimize staffing and overtime, control asset-related expenditures, and pursue division-wide cost savings.
- Coordinate cross-site logistics and asset management. Maintain regular alignment with the Site Managers at the other warehouses; participate in regional planning and governance to ensure consistency in processes, data quality, and asset utilization across all sites.
- Standardize SOPs and enforce compliance. Create and update cross-site SOPs for asset handling, scanning, movements, storage, and returns; ensure adherence to safety and inventory policies at all locations.
Position Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline; however, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 5 years of progressive management experience and demonstrated ability to lead others and get results through others.
- 5-10 years of experience in operations, particularly technical and engineering support.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and operation of Macintosh computers and software packages. (Windows-based PC knowledge a plus) along with Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.).
- Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast management, technology, equipment, facilities, and live productions.
- Current knowledge of state and federal transportation laws and regulations.
- Current knowledge of industry standards regarding safety.
